How to find the hardware version of a TP-Link device
Some TPLink access points have more than one hardware version. Mostly, every version has a specific stock firmware and a specific Tanaza firmware, as well.
To find the hardware version of a TP Link device:
- Turn over the access point
- Read the label
- In the serial number field find the character string “Ver:X.Y” (for example: Ver:2.0)

Tanaza is vendor-agnostic and works great with a wide range of access points, indoor or outdoor, desktop or ceiling-mountables, even with POE. Check if your access point is supported and get the Tanaza firmware. The first 30-days of trial are free of charge.
