After having established partnerships with wireless vendors Ruckus Wireless and Aruba Networks, Juniper Networks has now also allied with Aerohive Networks to offer Wi-Fi solutions for small enterprises in the K-12 education, retail, and state and local government.

While Juniper’s alliance with Ruckus caters to clients with large enterprises, for WiFi connectivity in the education and hospitality industries, the Aerohive deal focuses on smaller enterprises in multiple sectors, including K-12 education, retail and state and local government. The Juniper-Aerohive collaboration focuses on providing a platform that facilitates network planning and deployment of cloud-based Wi-Fi for companies in numerous remote locations. The goal is to provide WiFi solutions that allow customers to have a more controlled overview of their network connections.
While these companies are joining forces to become a stronger competitor in the market, companies like Cisco continue to thrive with a more system-wide approach. Cisco is not only the owner of Meraki but has also recently acquired Cloud Networking Group strengthening its leadership in the cloud-based WiFi management industry.
