On April 14th, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company launched a brand new free WiFi lounge on Cape Town’s iconic mountain.
A free Wi-Fi connection is now available 1000m above the Atlantic Ocean level, on Cape Town’s iconic mountain, where visitors get connected with the rest of the world from Cableway’s new Wi-Fi lounge. As the view from the top of the mountain is highly captivating, visitors have been taking selfies, videos, pictures and panoramas from above. Unfortunately, before free connectivity was provided at the Wi-Fi lounge, tourists could not post or share their activities on their social accounts.
According to a Cableway Managing Director Sabine Lehmann, “Through the launch of the Wi-Fi Lounge the Cableway is able to remain a relevant tourist attraction in a world where technology is an ever-present factor in travel.” Moreover, Lehmann noted that with free Internet connectivity, the visitor experience can improve in its entirety, as they can now share their favorite moments on social media instantenously while at the tourist attraction.
The Table Mountain Wi-Fi lounge is a comfortable new space with an astonishing view, equipped with USB points and plugs for visitors to recharge their devices. By simply connecting to “TABLE_MOUNTAIN” Wi-Fi network, vistors can gain free access to the Internet.
