Ruckus, the pioneer in the wireless sector, launched two new wireless access points that double Wi-Fi performances, in June 2016.
Ruckus Wireless, an American company specialized in carrier-class Wi-Fi products and technologies, launched two new APs: Ruckus ZoneFlex T710 AP and Ruckus ZoneFlex R510 AP last June. These access points will allegedly double the Wi-Fi client density and data rates of previous generations.
Although they differ in design, the two AP are quite similar. The Ruckus ZoneFlex T710 is an outdoor dual-band access point equipped with four antennas, utilizing the Ruckus BeamFlex technology, and is equipped with Ethernet interfaces. Instead, Ruckus ZoneFlex R510 is an indoor access point. It features fiber backhaul and an embedded GPS for localization and inventory management.
Both of the APS are based on the new 802.11ac Wave 2 standard (the standard builds upon capabilities that were introduced in 802.11ac to yield even higher performance), with MIMO technology. The access points are able to simultaneously transmit multiple client streams to different devices on the same radio frequency channel.

The company also upgraded its software for AP management, user access control, guest networking, Wi-Fi security and traffic management. Ruckus ZoneFlex T710 AP and Ruckus ZoneFlex R510 AP can be managed by using two software for WLAN management: Ruckus ZoneDirector and Ruckus SmartZone.
