One of the greatest things about public Wi-Fi is that by a proper splash page configuration you can collect user information, show ads and deliver email marketing campaigns to your target users.
Software like Tanaza make connecting to its Wi-Fi network super easy with its personalizable, multi-language, responsive built-in splash page. Through this Wi-Fi authentication page, Wi-Fi users in your retail business can login to your network via social media or other authentication flows, including vouchers or fidelity cards numbers.
To make the authentication process as smooth as possible there are only a few things to consider when you start a splash page configuration:
Personalize your background by inserting a background relating to your retail business, or by including lines of text that incite users into sharing their personal information to connect to your retail’s network
Add custom buttons, styles and html code. The Tanaza splash page editor allows you to change language, add your own in-line CSS styles and add your own HTML code to create a custom-built splash page for your retail business in more than 60 languages.
Customize your walled garden by adding your mobile application and your websites to it. This feature allows you to restrict the domains that are visible to your Wi-Fi clients before authentication.
Add advertising to your splash page. Thanks to the Tanaza built-in system for smart advertising, you can include an image or video advertising with random or time-based rotation. This can appears before your users when the access the splash page, either before requesting login details or during the process.
Filter web contentthrough a DNS-based filtering tool, to protect the youngest users from innappropriate content and avoid unproper usage of your network.
Customize your Terms and Conditions. This can include agreeing to sharing their information for email marketing purposes, like receiving monthly newsletters.
Now, White Label partners can allow their end users to edit the splash pages!
This feature perfectly matches the needs of partners who wish to give their customers 100% freedom to change the splash page layout.
The WL splash page editor is available to everyone with a WL dashboard – – in order to activate this feature, you will need to activate a new CNAME and write to support@tanaza.com.
The splash page can now be created or edited by final customers! This is a beta so, please… give us your feedback 🙂
This pre-released feature is super cool, especially for all the partners who want their customers to create, edit, manage and update their own splash pages, without any help.
Let’s see the most frequent use cases:
The partner creates a splash page (he’s the “owner”), that the end user is free to change / edit / update the splash page in real-time. The changes are immediately applied to all the SSIDs that use that splash page.
The partner creates a splash page, that the end user can only SEE (read only mode) or CLONE. In this case, applied changes do not impact the existing SSIDs and are saved only in the final customer’s account.
The final customer has 100% control over the splash page. He’s able to create new pages from scratch, share his templates with other people, etc.
This super-cool new feature allows partners to use a Tanaza Splash Page and an external splash page simultaneously, for guest access. This is useful for partners that must manage the authentication process for a specific set of users, or a database of members.
Let’s make some examples.
One of our partners, that manages the network for the franchisee shops of a famous apparel brand throughout all France, told us that he will use this feature to allow the users log in, alternatively, with their Facebook account or with their fidelity card number. Users with a Fidelity Card will then enjoy an enhanced user experience, as they will see discounts, promotions and customized info when connecting.
Another partner, a system integrator, is deploying a network for staff, students and visitors in an Australian school. This system integrator will use the Tanaza splash page to manage the visitors’ access, with Facebook or other social networks. Instead, students and staff will login though an external splash page with their badge number.
Release note: this is immediately available for all the Tanaza users with an all-in-one account.
Tanaza features now the capability to add linked images to the splash page. This means, that your splash page can now include advertising banners, linking to external websites.
Now Tanaza supports super-quick and super-easy deployment of new SSIDs / splash pages. And: with immediate, real-time stats of connected clients.
Here’s how it works:
You create a new SSID and you associate it to an on-line AP
You create your splash page with social login, voucher-based authentication, advertisements, and so on… and you apply it to the SSID
From this exact moment on, people can connect to your Wi-Fi network… and if you click on “Go to Dashboard”…. you immediately see statistics of Wi-Fi clients.
No need anymore to wait hours / days to see statistics of your Wi-Fi clients. With Tanaza, you see stats immediately. Isn’t this supercool?
